Have a catering-related question? We have the answer. Check out these FAQs and give us a call today for more information!

  • Do you offer quotes?

Yes! It helps us offer you the most accurate quote if you have an idea of your guest count and what menu items you're interested in. As experienced caterers, we provide pricing on each menu per person, with prices potentially ranging anywhere between $22 per person and $75 per person.

  • Do you provide plates, cutlery, linens, glassware, etc?

We provide attractive compostable bamboo or palm plates, napkins, and cutlery at a cost per guest. As part of our event catering services, we also offer plateware, metal cutlery, glassware, and linens for an additional rental fee.

  • Do you provide tables and chairs?

We do not have an inventory of tables and chairs, but as part of our event catering services, we can assist you in coordinating those rentals to ensure your setup runs smoothly.

  • What is the event production fee?

Producing events can be very expensive and time-consuming, and this fee helps cover many of the hidden costs involved in providing full-service event catering. According to our experience, the industry standard for this fee ranges from 18% to 20% of your invoiced line items and is non-negotiable. This accounts for the cost of serving platters, utensils, warming dishes for the buffet, trays for passed foods, hot or cold boxes to maintain proper food temperatures, gas and travel, rental coordination, behind-the-scenes staff who prep, load, unload, wash dishes post-event, rinse and return rentals, kitchen facility fees, insurance, consistent communication, and more. These are just some of the often-overlooked expenses that go into delivering professional event catering, which is why service or event production fees are billed to the client. This charge does not include serving staff or gratuity and may increase depending on the scope of your event.

  • Do you supply serving staff?

Yes, we can make sure that serving staff are available for your event to run smoothly. As experienced caterers, we understand that the number of staff needed depends on your guest count. The higher the guest count, the more serving staff is required for setup, service, bussing, and breakdown. For events over 50 guests, the number of staff needed is determined at Chef Lisa's discretion and is non-negotiable.

  • Do we need to feed our vendors (DJ, photographer, event coordinator, bartender, venue owner, etc.)?

Yes, it's important to supply boxed lunch catering for your vendors. As professional caterers, we believe it would be cruel and unusual not to feed your hard-working event team! Providing meals helps keep everyone energized and ensures your event runs smoothly.

  • Do you provide bartenders and alcohol?

Red's Kitchen & Catering does provide access to bartending staff. As part of our wedding catering services, we work closely with several staffing companies and can provide the perfect bartender for your event needs.

  • Do you provide tastings?

Yes, we can arrange for a tasting for your event, to a point. Tastings are typically reserved for weddings or events of 150 guests or more and are included in the event production fee if hired. As part of our wedding catering services, tastings last about 90 minutes and take place at our commercial kitchen space, during which the menu of your choosing is presented. After the tasting, we’ll sit and discuss any changes that should be made, the event timeline, and what to expect for how we’ll work with your timeline.

  • We have a strict budget. Is it possible to create our own custom menu?

Yes, we are happy to work with most budgets to keep people fed without breaking the bank. Whether you're planning a corporate lunch or wedding catering, we’ve developed crowd-pleasing menus for many events, keeping in mind that your budget often already includes what you want to spend on taxes and fees. In fact, according to Toast, 58% of respondents indicated that food quality was the most critical factor in choosing a catering service, which is why we prioritize delivering delicious, high-quality meals for your event.
